I have a sempron 2400 running on a msi km4m-v board with 256 mb of ram the processor is supposed to have a 333 mhz frontside bus but the mother board is saying only 166 mhz fsb. It was saying 100 mhz and nisidentifiying the processor but then I adjusted the board fsb jumper settings and that raised it and made it label the processor correct. My board supports a 333 mhz fsb so I do not know why this is happening. I am running windows xp and my memory is pc 2700. I also have the latest bios on my board. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

does it show the cpu as a 2400? 2x166=333. what is the ratio being used on the cpu like 10 or what?

Yes it shows the cpu as a 2400 1.667 ghz sempron. How would I find the ratio?

Also it will not let me adjust the fsb from the set up menu.
