i have nero 6, im kinda a newbie about burning dvd's, i have burned a data dvd and burned a regular dvd, and both work in my dvd player for my tv, what is the difference between a data or a regular burned dvd? is there any qaulity difference or long run problems of either? which is better? because the data takes about 2 min to finish, and the burn takes about 3 hours to do
You may want to check to see if your DMA is enabled. 3 hours to burn a DVD is much longer then it should be. Take a look at Alkohol's guide at the link below. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
i did that, both ports have dma enabled... thats why i almost wana just do data dvd's, because its so much quicker, i dont know why it takes so long to write it
@crazyantt You said you were kinda a newbie at burning DVDs and used nero, so here is a link to my buddy alkohol's guide to using Nero along with many other programs. Nothing like reading a few good guides to get the knowledge base up. Dont worry about the newbie thing, we were all newbies at this at one time or another, and these things/programs/media/techniques, etc, evolve. So we are all learning, hopefully. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/256436 There are many other good ones out there. Just check some of the members sig lines for links to guides.
crazyantt Since you can't seem to decide on a single thread I'll do it for you. Here's the one, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/319275 I understand your enthusiasm for getting help but I need to ask you to please stick to the thread I just linked to in order to keep our forums from getting any more cluttered than they already are and to also keep the confusion down for those trying to help you. Hope you get your problem fixed
