I have Nero, and I download movies in Mpeg, but how do I burn them to a disc???? It says it has written the data, but nothing plays when I put it in the DVD player. Can anyone give me step by step instructions? I burn music CD's with no problem at all...just the DVD's. Thanks for ANY help you can send. RichNDana
You did not say which version of Nero you have, 6 or 7, but you should be able to drop the files into NeroVision and use it to make a DVD. The user manuals are available from the Nero Site. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/User_Guide_Vision_4.html To start different utilities in Nero, use the Nero SmartStart utility, or go straight to NeroVision 4(or NeroVision Express 3 in Nero 6) through the Start button.
heres the link to the guide, just click on it and follow guide, it's designed for Nero7 but works the same for Nero6, good luck http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946
Sorry, I have Nero 6. When it opens if gives me an option to go to Nero Express...I have tried everything to burn this movie...nothing works.
Nero Express and NeroVision Express 3 are not the same program. If you don't show NVE 3, go the the link below for the update 2. http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php
OK, I found the Nero Express 3, and started the download of my movie, BUT now, about a 3rd of the way through the download, it locks up, and my computer freezes up. Know of any reason why it is doing that? There is plenty of room on my hard drive. *&%%^$&$^^ This is driving me nuts.
Is the mpeg on your harddrive? if so there has to be a (slow computer) problem///i.e. damn poor cpu or insufficeint memory. give details on your system and be specific//Nero is easy to work but sounds like possible hardware question
My system says I have 32.8 MB of free space. Yes the movie is on my hard drive. Could it be I don't have enought memory.
If you got to the express process, you realize that the program is trying to do what you want then freezes,, if you have 32.5 mb of either hard drive or ram free???? I don't know (you didn't specify) you need to go through some clean up of this rig ...or upgrade certain components...This NERO is the bad ass proggy that all people speak about//it'll do anything I want across the board///If you don't understand how to free up resources and allow this beast to roll///reply back and I'll give you some pointers before you run down to BEST BUY or whatever and waste money trying to fix something your not sure needs fixin'
OK, and thanks for the help. How do I clean up ??? I went to my computer, right clicked on C drive, and the pie chart shows half used, and half un-used. Says 32.8MB of free space is all it says. I have XP by the way. I have no idea how to clean up, as you speak of. Or should I buy a card for more momery space and put on here? If I can clean it up, and it work, I would rather do that.
I'm sure you mean 32.5 G not Mb right ? if so there are a few things you can do 1. when burning set the burn speed to 1X this allows for slower operation, although takes more time. I use this to get a good burn even though I can go 8X when in a hurry 2.Go to start > programs > accessories > system tools > disk clean up and enter ok to clean up temp files 3. After # 2 is complete Go to start >programs > accessories >system tools > defragment and select your c: drive and defrag...this will take a while.. this sounds basic but can help on an older system w/limited ram when done get back to me
Yes I meant MB, LOL I've done disk clean up, fixing to defrag now. How do I change the speed on Nero that you spoke of to 1x ?
We'll get to the speed change in a sec. there's no way to get this done with 32.5 Megabytes of hard drive space..you have to have been looking at memory//you stated the drive displayed having a pie chart with half being used and 32.5 Mb left this would mean a total hard drive space of 65 Mb//I had that back in the early 90's therefore it must mean 32.5 gigs now finish the defrag and get back to me
Now open nero vision express and select (you want to burn dvd files) and a window opens,,click add files and select the location of your video files and enter///this should start the vision express process///when done and ready to burn//select 1x speed from the speed box
Ok, I did that, only mine offers only 2x for the smallest. I burned a cpl small mpg movie clips to see if it would work, and it did great, then when I went to burn the Movie, it froze up.
