I am trying to make a DVD out of files I have downloaded from the web. The files are windows media files. When I use Nero Vision to do that it works but the movies when played, are not decoded properly so the image is all pixels. Can someone tell me how to do this so it works correctly?

Probably your files don't have a good resolution. When you transcode them into DVD resolution, the low quality encoding becomes more evident, especially when you play it on a TV screen.

Pixelation can be caused by using poor quality media and burning too fast, what brand are you using and your burn speed.

OK I it is not pixelazation...it seems like it is a transcoding problem......and it is not a bad video file.....It seems like I am missing something.

I hate to repeat myself, but it's probably low video quality. Those files are probably MPEG-1. I've been there. I've downloaded and burn to DVD with similar results.
