Hello, ive been reading these forums for a while now but this is my first post and just to warn you its going to be one of those posts like the other million posts on this forum. Ive done a search and i havent really found the answers that im looking for so without further adu here we go...

I just purchased a PStwo slim SPH-75001 v14 i beleive and im having trouble picking out a mod chip. I think i have narrowed it down to either the DMSV4 SE Pro and the Crystal Chip but for some reason i just cant figure out which would be a better solution for me, as far as which chip and bios to get.

This is what i would like to do... Play back ups of DVDs and PS2 games, PSX games also multi disc games (huge Final Fantasy Fan) still give the option to use an Action Replay, ive read some on the hard drive stuff but i dont think that i would be doing that anytime soon. Also an MP3/DIVX/VCD/SVCD player would be nice for when not playing and also you cant forget about the classics (emulation).

Also, do i need to get a laser fix for my PStwo, is there a huge difference between the Pro and the Lite on the DMS4 chip also a difference between the SE and the nonSE.

so please i ask from some advise from the experienced on these forums, what would be the best solution for me?

    Thank you in advance

I have the same version. Looking for modchip for mine as well, so any help from others would be nice. I am looking for it for the same reason: use all media, play all backups, originals, and imports, etc.

As for the v14 you should not need a laser fix. That was only needed for the v12 and wanna say v13 but not sure. The v14 we have has had those issues fixed before being put out on the market.
