Please Help

    Hi

    When i click on a link, it takes me to a different page - not the one i clicked on. Also every few minutes i get page not found and when i use the diagnostic tool to discover what is wrong with my connection - it has to renew my ip address. So i'm thinking there is a virus that keeps kicking it out. I have ran several different softwares to try to take care of it.. Like: spybot & destroy, malware, superantispyware, spyware pc tools. I run these in and out of safe mode and if they find viruses or spyware it says they are removed.

    I'm running windows xp professional sp3, Dell Optiplex 780, intel core 2 duo cpu, 3.16GHz, 3.25 GB or Ram.

    I am open to any suggestions.. Thanks in advance

    try downloading and running hijack this.rename it something like scanner.exe (some nasties recognize the name and hide from it).run it and post a log for us.
