"Please Place disc in an Xbox 360 console" - After Swapping Hitachi Drives

    Hello all...I've read a bunch of posts with this subject - but none with a definitive answer. Here's the deal.

    I swapped the DVD Drive of a new XBOX 360 with that of a launch Unit. I have the new guts with an old drive. Old 360 was giving me the three rings of death. My old was flashed, so I wanted to keep it. Both drives were Hitachi's.

    Here's the old drive I have with the new guts:
    GDR-3120L
    from Sept 05
    0046 DH

    No Idea what firmware it was flahed with, as I did not flash it myself. Plays DVDs and music CDs, but no Games, original or backup.

    Please Help!

    you do know when u swap drives u need to bring the key of the orginal drive into the new one. read up on that.

    All I have is the New XBOX 360 and the Old DVD Drive - Can I fix my problem using a Slax CD and xtreme.bin thing or do I use Firmware Toolbox...which method can I use?
