Please really need help

    Please help me i really am desperate i dont care if you dont answer my post.
    Many things have stopped working in my toshiba a210-1as this includes the folders keep opening in new windows even though in the options they are set to open folder in same window also the autoplay dosent work therefore i tried to system restore but it logs off show me that its doing a system resore then restarts and when it opens up it tells me that an unspecified error has occured i really need help on this.
    P.S running vista

    use your restore disk and everything should be fine

    Assuming the hardware is ok rdmercer is correct it's time for a reformat,if you don't have a windows disk use the system recovery function,if you don't know how to access it,get the manual out or go to toshiba's website,if poss save any data or you maybe able to put the laptops hdd in an external case & check for viruses etc & errors & fix it that way,again only if the laptop hardware is ok

    If i use my system restore disk will it delete everything on my drive for example my files and folders.
