I just DL a movie rip in avi + OGG audio stream and attempted to conert it to DVD . I tried a few programs such as "VSO ConvertXtoDVD" and "Ultra AVI Converter" but they both could not open this type of AVI file . Do you know any sharewares that can handle this job ? Please recommend some . Thanks ,

Just tried WinAVI and it could not open the file ! Please note that I could view this movie on the PC without any problem at all !
I also installed the OGG Vorbis codec in my system . Please help...Am I up the creek for this type of AVI ?

Finally, I found a freeware that worked ! It is the MediaCoder v0.50

What a shame for all those big name sharewares (i.e. VSO ConvertXDVD , WinAVI etc...) !! Apparently, this freeware ia regularly updated and can handle many other format ! Try it out for yourselves and see.

    Hi zooco,

ConvertXtoDVD v2.1 ßeta will be released real soon.

It should now support OGM/OGG/MKV better.

Please see full changelog of the upcoming v2.1 here:
