I've been using nero suite 6 for about a week and out of no where I can't burn anymore. This stupid error message keeps popping up. it fails and say's "Cant create disc structure" or something here's some extra info to help you help me. 1. my drive is only a week old 2. it burns cd's fine 3. i was burning cd's for a few days until a couple days ago 4. I'm using remake dvd or make movie functions. 5. You may need a firmware update for it even though it's only a week old - can depend on the manufactured date and if one came out since then. Your drive is only recognizing the media as Media type: DVD+R Which brand are you using? my model of external drive is Norwood Micro dual format dvd recorder double layer. I'm was using dvd +r's and then it stopped working after a few days, I've also tried -'s. I just took alot of you guys advice and i'm gonna test it to see if the updates work. the dma's seem to be on when avalible on all my drives. I've also just purchased some different dics. I was using tdk +'s i'm gonna try the sony -'s i'll lyk what happens thx you guys are great
@Ryski No problem The Norwood you got looks like it's a rebadged BenQ 1650 drive. The TDK's are not one of the better ones. Sony's are good. For the DMA on the TSST drive - check what is says under 'current transfer mode' - should say something like 'ultra dma mode 4'. Keep us posted!
hey guys, good news I'M FINALLY BURNING DVD'S AGAIN!!!!! thx for all the advice it seems to have worked. I believe it was the updates and the new sony disc's that got it back. I would have pulled all my hair out if you guys hadn't helped. I was even thinking about a system recovery. thx again man, I'll hit ya back and let you know if any problems pop up. *wipes the sweat from forehead with a smile*
Glad to hear you are burning again Sometimes it's just a tweak here or there. Stick with good media like the Sony's or Verabtim & made in Japan Fuji - keeps the problems down. Happy burning!
