We've got PVAStrumento already on our site, what else should be included (PVACut? DVD2AVI_PVA version?)

I use PVACut, and then PVA2MPG2 (by Technotrend). I've had problems with PVAStrumento, don't know if I misused the tool or what...
Btw, I'm looking for a soft that would let me take snapshots of any frame in the video ... With PVACut, in combination with DVD2AVI_PVAView, I can only manage to get "jumps" from one frame to another, with too much difference between them... I mean : there is no perfect continuity between frames showed by _PVAView, even when I select "Cut at all I, P or B frames". I always have the impression to "lose some frames". There must be a continuity somewhere, because when I encode the video- say into avi format - the frames appear to be continuous ?
    Thanks

    Robin.
