I'd be happy to help but I'm having an extremely hard time trying to figure out what you're after.

Could you explain with a little more clarity and more in depth? Punctuation would help quite a bit too :)

    hi Nephilim,
Indeed very messing, 2 kids and a wifee moaning at me at the same time bad news!rushed it :( my bad.
all they wanted to do was drag me around the shops and empty my bank account :(
anyway back to the above subject :)
basically I cannot burn DVD,s what ever blank DVD disk types I try,
    CDRW functions work fine
has I said plextor tools/cdinfo reads disk info.
strange thing is all burning software I've got doesn't detect the disks,
through windows I get an error E:\ is not accessible incorrect function

    DVD Type
    plextor 712A
    firmware ver 1.02
    plextor tools 2.14
    ForceASPI 1.8
    O/S winxp pro sp1

LOL! Whenever I feel bad about being single I'll keep that in mind!

I've got a suggestion, try uninstalling the drive through Device Manager, reboot and let windows detect/install the drive (no need to physically remove the drive). Many times this will clear up the oddities windows likes to throw at us when using a burner :)

If the problem is with Nero alone, it may help to uninstall/reinstall Nero. For whatever reason doing this sometimes gives Nero the Kick in the pants it needs.

Also, could you post the media codes for the discs you've used so far? This utility will give you the codes:

    http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/

Low quality media can be the source of numerous problems.
