i have a plextor dvdr burner and its serial is px-712a , it runs perfectly but when i insert a cd or a dvd , nothing happens, it does not run the cd. I even open my computer and it says nothing in the drive icon. its empty, plz help me as i want to make it work. It doesnt detect any disk or plays any autorun disk too.
Just out of curiosity what firmware version do you have for this drive. The latest is 1.07 and is available here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces Try updating the firmware and see if that helps.
oki , my previous firmware was 1.04 and i upgraded it to 1.07 and still nothing changed. Still whenever i try to run a disk it doesnt read anything. When i try to click the drive icon, it says f: "drive is not accesssible. The request could not be found because of an I/O error". thsts it. nuthin happens. the drive is in the hardware manger and it says its working properly and the driver is up to date but still it doesnt read any disk. plz help.
