i purchased this burner on ebay and after installing i tried to burn a dvd with maxwell dvdrw and failed about7 times. i took the cds back and got sony dvdrw and still didnt get a good burn going.i notice the fireware was higher then the support website had so i updated it with the latest one listed. what i did was i put my dvd in the drive and up loaded the files into my computer i then put the blank and pressed make video dvd. that didnt work so what i did next was i put the dvd back in and pressed copy dvd. after it uploaded into a temp folder it ask for a blank dvd. i put it in and the dvd burn failed. im pretty new to this durning stuff. are my setting correct? do i just need to buy dvd r only? if so why does it say this burner can use dvdrw?
