This would be my first time experimenting with boot managers, i've tried GAG but no luck with installation. I have installed plop without a problem. However, I have no idea how to make it do what I want. I would like to make boot partitions for (1) my os (2) active@ boot disk (3) Macrium Reflect Boot Disk. If you are familiar with these programs then you know they only come with a boot disk option to burn, I would like to make bootable partitions of these programs on my HD. Im open to any other software solutions too. OS: MS Windows VISTA Home Premium 64-bit MB: Intel DG33tl CPU: 2.66 GHZ intel core2quad q6700 HD: 320 GB with three partions (trying to make the other two bootable) Plus, if anyone knows of a good (free) Boot Manager other than GAG or PLOP please let me know.
Partition Boot Manager (PBM) is a new and unique boot manager that allows you to support up to 256 operating systems on a single hard drive. This is great because you can make your computer act like it is more than one computer. PBM gives each user security and protection from another user corrupting their system. It also allows you to run many different operating systems on a single computer. PBM also supports login security so users will see only the OS choices they have access to; and it protects each operating system from others. Unlike other boot managers, PBM is compatible with common partition utilities. you can d/l it from here http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Boot-Manager/3000-2094_4-10068125.html
I have tried Plop boot manager. It claims that we can boot to USB even if BIOS doesn't support booting from USB drive. I sent a communication. No reply. I tried to post the same problem by trying to register on the website. When I tried to activate my account, the activation failed. IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT FLOP BOOT MANAGER(sorry Plop boot manager: There are no guidelines as to how to use it. Whatever is on the website is repeated verbatem in the downloaded file. The whole website is full of how to install the programme but not about how to use it. When I installed the programme and selected USB boot and hit enter, the system froze and when I restarted my system, I lost all data including my os and the drive became unreadable!!!! BEWARE OF FLOP BOOT MANAGER!
