EMEI: 353372005843020 Servive Provider: Cingular Wireless (USA) There is a another 6230 that i unlocked loacaly but, that phone gives complete singnal drops in someplaces while other phones have full signal in the same place! could anyone have a answer to this Thnaks!
These are the categories of problems I can think of. 1) Maybe your internal antenna is damaged (unlikely) 2) Your service provider has a problem. a) The coverage just stinks (very likely) or b) Your roaming database hasn't been updated with your new SP, so some towers you could roam on before are unavailable (very likely) or c) Maybe the phone is set to a mode that only picks up one of the two available north american frequencies. (unlikely) 3) Different networks have different coverage (likely) a) GSM: Cingular/AT&T Wireless (new accounts), TMobile b) TDMA: Cingular/AT&T Wireless (old accounts) c) CDMA: Sprint, Verizon (and I think Nextel too) Just in case you don't know, your phone is a GSM phone which should run off of both north american frequencies. The 1900 towers are junk, but maybe you need 'em if nothing else is around.
Thanks for your Comments! I agree witht the band compatiblity! I figured out! where i live there are only GSM 900/1800 bands available! but most of the area is covered by the GSM 900 band. The Nokia 6230 US edition phones runs in GSM 850/1800/1900 bands so leaving our GSM 900. I think the Cingualar software which runs in my phones is blocking the common 900 band. I think if i flash the phones the poblem will be taken cared of!!!!
