If you used your eeprom you shouldn't get error 6. It seems that you locked the drives using an eeprom from another xbox or used a patched eeprom that contained incorrect lock and unlock keys. You should have obtained the eeprom from E:\UDATA\2xxxxxxxxxxxxx\00000000000000\Backup.

Yes. If you install a modchip it will restore your xbox but you would need Slayers 2.7 and an unlocked hard drive so that the xbox can boot isos and load apps from the slayers disc that would restore your dashboard among others that will help you to retrieve your eeprom. If you can't unlock the drives with the eeprom then you have useless paperweights that cannot be used ever again.

You can recover locked drives using the XboxHDM disc you used to lock them with.

My tutorials also show other ways to unlock the drive...

That's kinda why I wrote the tutorials...

Ok, basically, re-insert the XboxHDM CD into your drive, insert the HDD obviously, use Option 3 and this time type 'unlockhd -a'

It will unlock the drive again to it's original state.

You still need to find the correct eeprom though!

If you install a modchip you can just lock it with config magic and it will assign a new eeprom password and then you can take the chip out.
