I like to watch anime, so recently I downloaded one. but this is the problem, its in .wmv format and the subs are in .srt, dubble clicking on the vid wont let the subtitle work. however when i use vlc i can make the .srt file work but not on the right time. it just starts when the vid starts while its suposed to start after the opening. delaying the subs also doesn't work, it just doesn't read the first part (the delayed time part) instead of moving evrything to a later time. can any one plz tell me whit what program it would wor?, or a simple way to convert the subs to a format what does work? i hope anyone can tell me (i am busy like a year now to get this anime in good quality and whit working subs)
Are you saying that the times listed in the .srt file are correct, it's that they are not coming in on the indicated time.
Edit:I read MKV and it should be WMV - sorry. If you load the .srt file and the movie into 'Subtitle Workshop' I think you will see they do match - but I don't know of a way of adding a sub stream in a .wmv file - unless it's been converted to another format like DivX. This program lets you view (not add) a .srt file associated with a .wmv - probably better than VLC can show them. http://sprog.110mb.com/subadd.php
there is one more thing i would like to ask. when i play a .mkv file whit mpcstar it plays bought ausio, do you know how i can make it play one so that i dont hear 2 languages
That's odd - I've heard of some Asian videos where the left and right stereo channels have different audio (languages) playing, but not two separate audio streams playing together.
