plz help starview displaying green line

hello there

i got a starview 1 clone which display an horizontal green line anytime i turn it on. i have replace the c11 capacitor. But it still display a green horizontal line.

is there any1 out there that might know what is the problem? i would really appreciate your help.

try reflashing it second post down, bad flash.

i have reflashed it several time but it always fail. the display doesn't even move still showing the green line

 

Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

What file are you using to flash it ?

Are you sure you have the NULL MODEM CABLE and not the RS232 ?

 

I can't access to the menu because it doesn't show anything on TV just a black screen
I am using both file starview_h20060816_257eE_api_fixed and crypstar_v1.4_core257

the cable is Null modem serial cable

did you try the bad flash method. have the switch at the back off and press download and turn it on then. it may take a few tries. use core 2.57 as the other one doesn't update itself.

 

i have tried that method but still showing the green line.

what i did was booting the starview then when the green line was moving along i then hit the download on the GTloader.

the GTloader then started downloading the file into the box. at the end i got a pop window with a successful message. On the GTloader I got a flash burning message.

when download was complete the device reboot but still show the green line.

 

This could take up to 20 tries before you get it (keep at it & you`ll get it eventually)
