i have a kodak easyshare cd33 camera and i droped it in water. Is there anything i can do to make it work agian. THX!
Is it still under warranty? What kind of water? tap water, lake, ocean?? contact kodak and see what they suggest. also you may have a camera store near you that will do a free check over and then give you a quote as to $$$ to fix if needed. Hate to say it but may be cheaper to buy new one instead of getting it repaired Also, may want to allow it to dry for wks before turning it on. DO NOT TURN CAMERA on until your 100% sure its completely dry or you could fry the circuits. After drying it might be alright.Doing the drying is no way in knowing if it will work. Because the water could have chemicals in it that leaves a film or corosive on parts may rust enough to not allow very small parts to move. Good luck
Water+Camera=dead camera. What also can happen is you can get permafog in the lens. You'll never get a clear picture again.
i got a new camera , do they sale anything that you can put over a camera to protect it from water? THX!
yes they make covers for cameras but I think they only make ones that you would use underwater. Haven't seen anything that I believe what your looking for...something just to cover camera for daily use. I would check a camera store. The underwater covers tend to be $$$$$ But I don't think that is what you want. Sorry can't be any more helpful
dumby me, I forgot...Get a heavy duty ziplock freezer bag. Cut a hole in the end for the EXACT size of lense, no bigger. Place camera in bag with lense flush with opening, then screw on a uv or polar filter. The bag opening that you cut should be between the lense and the filter and should move. Zip lock the bag. And away you go. This IS NOT 100% water proof but I have used it on those days when there's a misty rain and you want to take shots of rain drops on plants etc. Hope this helps
