PLZ READ need help with changing staticIP address

    to start with i'm running avalaunch alpha v0.49.3 which i just updated march 2. the prob i'm still having is everytime i try to change the staticIP to allow the link to my labtop it won't save the changes i made. i have all the right changes to the labtop made by info found surfing. sorry to ask a question this dumb but i can't figure it out for the life of me. TY in advance for any help offered

    Try using a different dashboard. You should be able to save your adjusted settings, but I recommend XBMC, it’s the best dashboard ever made for the XBOX. Once you install XBMC you will never look back, and you won't experience connectivity issues until the proper network adjustments been made within the dashboard.

    try confirming the changed ip address (or any changes in the avalaunch setting menu) with the yellow Y button (it took me about 2 weeks before i figured that out). after you changed the ip address confirm it and reboot your dashboard. also set the network setting on static ip address, not to dhcp.... confirm it all with the yellow button...
