PNY attache usb drive

    Hey everyone,
    So one day it just stopped working. It's about 5 months old and it doesn't light up like it's being powered. Am i screwed? Thanks a million:)

    is it still under warranty as usually 1 yr?

    Yes, my girlfriend can't find the receipt but i told her to look for the day of purchase off her credit card for the pny website. The only problem is that she has some files on the drive that she needs and i think all they'll do is replace it without getting up and running again. Anywho, if that's the case it's a hard lesson for her for not backing up on cd or simply the harddrive on her laptop:(

    can the hd be pulled out of the enclosure without voiding the warranty as might the enclosure causing the deadness not the drive.

    I can pull out the red translucent case from the silver outer case. Anything else will void the warranty and more importanlty i'd need pictures to know what the heck i was doing. Either way, looks like we need a new usb drive:( Thank for responding:)

    Hello does your computer/laptop recognize it when its plugged in? if not try locking it and then unlocking it,sometimes that does the trick
