Hi all Whats happening with the Warner Bros DVD's as they are now being made in Hong Kong. Surely the cost of manufacture is now outweighed by the increased freight charge, where they were made in the USA. Rodney
This is interesting. I looked in the hub of my Polar Express, reads "Made in Canada", but then I do live in Canada and by law we must have English and French content. Recently, I did receive a Miramax dvd from the USA which read "Made in Mexico". This has got me to wondering what's going on.
I agree something is going on with the production of DVD's as they use to all be made in either USA or Canada, and I live in Australia. A big company that produced DVD movies here in Australia, is Technicolor, which is owned by Thompson Multimedia (same company that makes DVD-ROM drives in orginal xbox machines). I wouldnt be surprised that the failure rate increases with the Hong Kong discs, and Star Wars Episode 2 discs were made in Taiwan, but apparently had truck loads of faults. Rodney
