port forwarding

    i baught a gigabyte aircruiser g desktop router and i have a netcomm nb1300plus4 adsl modem/router. when i put the aircruiser in and hook it all up i cant get on the net, and no one can get on the net via the wireless. i was told that i should try port forwarding but no tutorial seems to be correct. can anyone help with how to set it up or a site that can help.

    i have been there and it doesnt help, my 4 port router seems to be different to every tutorial and video i have seen.

    What you're gonna have to do is look at a tutorial, understand what it's explaining and search through your routers settings and apply what you've read. Make sense. Things may be in a different place that you need to edit but all-in-all it's the same concept when it comes to settings, especially port forwarding.

    in the tutorials ive seen there are 3 boxes you have to type in, i have 4. I will see what i can do. thanx 4 your help

    Check your network connections and see if you have a bridge. If you do, delete it and your router should work fine.
