Looking to get a Portable External Hard Drive, 500GB-1TB. As of right now, which brand is the fastest (read/write speeds) for around $150? Will be using it for data backups, and for playing Full HD movies with the WD TV Live HD Media player. Thanks.
I recommend a internal w/ enclosure case of some sorts i have never had any luck with external drives ther all slow and lots of head aches i went with the Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500KEVT 750GB 5200 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive and AZiO ENC211S31 Aluminum Case Body 2.5" Black USB 2.0 External Enclosure - Retail combo and i have dropped it several times and still works 100%.
