Im trying to access my portable hard drive. I plug the usb cables into the respective places (mine has two that are both needed to be plugged into the comp). However when i plugged in the cables and turned it on...the lights just flashed and it doesnt show up in my computer...what should i do?
are they plugged into the front of the computer or the back as i have that problem with mine with some pc's when trying to use the front ports? does it make a ticking sound at all? try switching the 2 usb ports around. try restarting the pc with the drive plugged in as found that to work sometimes.
