portable hrd drive wont load on dvd player

    hi i hav a iomega 500gb usb 2.0 portable hrfdrive, loaded som movies on it but when i connect it 2my dvd player or other portable player nothin comes up, but when connected to the pc everythin is there can any1 help

    maybe it cant read the filesystem (fat32, ntfs) or maybe the items you want to get to are not in a properly labeled folder for the device you are using it for. they can be discriminatory, see what formats and codecs your devices will play and see if what you have is compatible.
