Anyone know if this can be used for cable and which programme is used to flash it? If not, do I need to flash it in order to use it as a satellite freeview box? It was probably working for the satellite, but my friend did a factory reset on it.
Looks like the entry level Comag from LIDL for SAT freeview only. Factory rest wont delete the firmware just have to set it up again. Although people generally use it for caravans etc, (hence the 12V), but it will work elsewhere. Havent got one but seen one working a few years back.
Thanks. I didn't think it would work with cable, but it was worth a try anyway. A friend picked it up on ebay for €25, so it's no loss really. I'll take my other questions to the freeview forum.
