?possable to transfer installed game from hard drive to hard drive?

if ur confused let me explain...now this is a question of sorts, i have limited cash....and i mean limited like looking for change on monday after getting paid on friday lol. i have COD MW2,,,it loads up but when i try to select anything its unreadable. i tried repairng it n all that. no luck. now could i burn a copy from online, hot swap duing installing it to my HDD? or even use someones data that has already installed it on there HDD?

Ok transferring from one HDD to another simply isnt possible and expect it to wrok properly as games once installed are device specific, However i have heard that in SOME cases you can burn a game to a dual layer disk and then just when the game is going to install swap them out. I have not tested this on my own however and can not approve that it will work. What you can do is borrow a disk from some one and install from that then just use your disk to boot the game.

So to help your money situation best and easiest is to borrow a disk, or gamefly. But if you have a spare verbatim laying around it wouldnt hurt to try the burn and hotswap method to maybe play from the burned game or at least from the original disk you have that is screwed up.

oh i know that i was joking. i landed a copy. hot swaping worked till about 2% then stopped. guess im just gonna have to try to flash my old ben-q somehow.

well i own the legit copy. have for many years i tried to hot swap my legit with a backup to instll to my hdd so i can use mt legit to at least run from the hard drive. ive seen someone do it with GTA 4 thats what gave me the idea in the first place
