Well if u didnt see it this is what it was. The guy had some files on a flash drive and he put it on the PS3 with NBA in the PS3, so then he restarted the PS3 and went to the Flash Drive in Pics and ur not suppose to see anything in there, so then he loaded NBA and after the PS3 logo it froze so then he swapped the CD's with Oblivion and when he removed the Flash, Oblivion loaded up.
We are kinda late on the scene and PS3-hacks is trying to claim what is not from them... about 10 days ago PS3hax found the exploit this is the treat and you can download and test it yourself... http://www.ps3hax.net/index.php?PHP...64d7b56bec&topic=1126.msg11380315#msg11380315
Im about to try this but has anyone tried to load a back up put in a ps2 game instead of ps3 then when it crashes switch it with the ps2 backup.
Ok so what is the purpose of this exploit. know one has said what it does or what it will be leading up too. I may be a little late but I sdont see the explanation in this thread
fusk this is crazy... i just boot up HDAdvance (dvd 1.00)on PS3 1.9 and it work... but i got a message saying: HDadvance is not compatible to this version of PS2, Sorry... is this something? i wish hackers could take a look on this... i'm just a regular guy messing around.
i have made some intresting movments while i have been having a mess around with 1.8 firmware and this idea. I found inserting a PS2 Game, crashing it using the TIF Exploit and then putting in a PS3 game left me with a black screen for a good length of time along with the signal from the PS3 flicking on and off. Another intresting thing is that sometimes, if you insert a ps3 game into the drive after using the .TIFF file left you with a PS3 background just moving around but nothing more, until you remove the memory stick! Also in cases, i have returned the error code "80010516" error occured during the start operation. Just forwarding my findings, if they are because i am doing it wrong or something hands up! Thanks Footylad
Has any one been able to confirm that PSX backups can be played using this .Tiff file? If so does that backup disk need to be the same game as the orginal cd inserted first? Or is the PSX backup thing fake?
I like you quick replies but i think that you are wrong. I think the answer is a NO!! This video show the .Tiff Exploit being used with a psx backup. However, The disk he inserts last he keeps hidden a little and cuts the video before the disk actualy boots. Look at the second disk. It is a disk called 'breaker pro', it is a CD based PS import game adapter boot disc for PS and PS2. Look at this picture of it.. So im saying now its a fake. However the .Tiff exploit is good for freezing the PS3, but thats all its good for.
i don't think so you need to use swap magic first, then swap it while in freeze with the PS2 backup...........
ive used this exploit and it works, the psx swap on youtube is a fake they just use breaker pro. it cant boot backup games yet until the team put some new code into it.
Thats right, now we have found the crash, we can now begin to adapt it to our favour. Its just a matter of time now for us all..........
after i swap the disc i get an error code saying this game could not be stared. should i be doing this with 2 ps1 games? or 2 ps3 games?
