Hey i just got my wiiclip and wiikey2 from modchipcentral and when i instal it ntsc region backups work fine but i went ot run the cinfig /update disc and it says the wiikey 2 is not installed. any one know why this would happen.
First of all, there are two websites for "modchipcentral". Which one did you buy from? www.modchipcentral.com (Mod Central Ltd.) is, in MY experience a highly reliable site. I have made many orders from them and have always been satisfied. I would highly doubt that you would get a fake from them. Defective possibly? The other site will also respond to modchipcentral if you type the suffix incorrectly. I have never done buisness with them but I do know that they charge more than the "real" modchipcentral.
sorry for the poor typing earlier. i went to www.modchipcentral.com it had the yellow sticker and the wii-clip had a hollow sticker where the chip plugs into. I got normal games to works and NTSC games run but i tried to play bleach versus crusade NTSC-J and it just goes to a black screen. i assume because i cant get the region free set up right. any one have any suggestions on how to fix this. i have a north american first gen wii.
OK. I was wondering how you made the quantum leap to "fake wiikey". Not being able to update is a Wiikey 1 issue, and I've seen no reports about fake or clone Wiikey 2s yet. Can't help you much on the technical issue. Just stepping in to vouch for the seller. Have you tried contacting them? They're quite savvy.
havent tried to get a hold of them yet and so far i havent been able to find this issue anywhere else.
ive bought from modchip central before and they are a very reliable source to buy from. Never had a problem with them. However, things do get damaged when sending. So i suggest you try to contact the website via email listing your buying information and tell them that your key was damaged and ask for a replacement.
