   ive just bought 4x1gb pc2-6400 800mhz ddr2 ram and after installing my pc wont boot up it just keeps beeping
   
   
   i have a compaq presario sr5019uk
   athalon 64 3800+ 2.4Ghz
   
   im not sure if ive bought the wrong type of if its faulty.

   according to this link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&product=3397528&lang=en#N256 that ram should work. try 1 stick at a time into each slot as possible 1 might be bad causing the post problem.
