they're just telling you $1700 right now. Then when it comes closer to the time it'll come out, they'll say $1000. Then they'll say $700. I'm guessing about $500 for starters, wait a year and it'll be down to $350, maybe $400 or so. That's just my guess, but that's marketing for you.
The key to owning the coveted PS3 is not to have a job which includes the phrase "Would you like fries with that?". I'll be buying it a few months after it releases (I've always had miserable luck with first editions) My version 1 PS2, which I bought on the release day, did not last very long at all, no.
i got the early version of the ps2 and it lasted me til last year when i had2 send it bak to sony for repairs, but they were free. it lasted about 4years and now still going
there gonna be 3 colours and i herd that there r all different prices white - £500 black £1000 silver £1500 if thats true im stickin with the white 1 kayla age 14
Sony arent stupid enough to charge 1k for a console when they know people can buy a full blow PC for £600 which will do a better job. "Figuring it's better to budget too much instead of too little, we went with the $399 price for the Xbox 360." They need to keep in with M$ and will charge around the same price £400 will be the starting price, until the price war kicks in and the console will be down to £300 after it's a year old. It's gonna be just like the release of the PS2, start high to increase profits then slowly reduce the price to draw in the punters, same old story just a diffrent box.
