I want to flash a ms-28 360, I have already flashed a ms-25, which was quite simple, but I'm not sure about the ms-28, is it possible to flash the ms-28 the exact same way you flash the ms-25?
I've found that I need to use the VCC method, where i need to desolder a resistor, but I cant find any tutorial on this, can anyone help?
You Need textbooks guide. Let me see if I can find the link. http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/details/id=61.html
And if you are using a nforce chip set I found that extreme boot maker doesnt work. I had to find mtkflash that had already been edited to work the nforce chip set.
Thanks for the link, I will have a go at this in a day or two, I have one question though, when I flashed my ms-25 drive, I left RAID on, because if I disabled RAID, it wouldn't pick up my drive, I have a SiS controller, so I left it on and flashed the drive and it worked perfect, will it be okay if I left it on with the ms-28 drive?
What would happen if I tried to flash it using the "bad flash method", with a SiS sata port, would it completely fail to do so?
read. you'll see bad flash doesn't work with SiS chipsets. only with VIA chipsets. which i'd recommend purchasing.
Yeah, I know thats what it said in the guide, was just curious about what would happen if I tried, anyway, I have ordered a VIA 6421A PCI Card for my desktop, will use that, safer than using the VCC method.
