Possible to play MKV file on Blu-ray Player?

    Hi I have a Samung BDP-1500 and a mkv file on my computer now is it possible to play the mkv file on the blu-ray player through a data dvd or maybe usb?

    Hello
    i burned a mkv on a dvd using tsmuxer and imgburner but and when i try playing it on my blu ray player i wont play it will only give me a black screen it is possible that it needs be a expacific plyer/Need help

    Is there an update on this?

    I followed all the steps from the tutorials and my blu ray spits out all burned disks but ONE.

    Hi super troy i have the same problem.
    I have dual layer dvds and blu ray dvds and some mkv files to burn.
    I have tried for a week to burn them with no success and posted my probs on various forums too.
    I have the same dvd player as you and im praying someone can help!!
