    Hi guys.

I am usually active in the ps2 DVD back up discussion, however I have come across somthing which I will need a little info about.

Is it possible to rip a DRM protected .wmv to a normal .mpeg to burn as a vcd/dvd?

I have unlocked the DRM content, so its not the issue of "Bypassing" the DRM protection.... more that I would like to convert it or "rip" it to a standard mpeg so I can burn the movie to media.

or is it already possible to burn a DRM protected .wmv straight to a media providing that you have unlocked the DRM .wmv file?

    many thanks in advance

Nero Recode or NeroVision Express might do just that.

If not, trying googling "wmv to mpeg conversion". Just might bring up exactly what you need.

ok thanks, ill give it a shot.

however my box with the DVD burner (and much needed HD space) has decided to develop a serious hardware problem tonight and keeps rebooting/freezing.

the system is about 7 years old so I think im gonna have to buy a new motherboard/CPU/Case and install my DVD/GFX card etc and basically start from scratch.

once the new system is up and running (god knows when cos im unemployed and broke) I will try what you said regarding the wmv to mpeg.

    cheers
