Hi i'm running on xp sp3 fully up to dated with windows update.

Recently when i leave utorrent downloading overnight or for a while it freezes. Once it's frozen I can't end its process through task manager, also when I try to open it again nothing happens, this also happens with any other internet app once utorrent has frozen.
I'm using utorrent 1.8.3 and I also use nod32 4 and zone alarm 8. When this problem occurs the only thing I can do is restart or go without internet and eventually the whole pc freezes.

I've done virus and spyware scans and have come out clean. I use spybot s&d and ad aware for spyware/adware.

This really comes as a big problem to me because I use a special ADSL internet connection that works as long as I stay connected. The moment I disconnect or turn off the pc it stops working and I have to buy another account. The bandwidth in my country is really expensive =P. Here's my hijackthis log:

Thanks, will give it a try. Problem with trying to test this is that it doesn't happen straight away, only after quite some time. Like it didn't happen for about a week then it happened yesterday again and then had to go purchase a new ADSL account.

What could they do to cause all my internet apps to hang and become zombie processes though o_O I'm using utorrent with protocol encryption. I tryed switching from Zonealarm to Comodo firewall now. Hope this helps. Read of cases where ZA caused similar problems. Any other advice would be amazing. Thanks
