I have a virus on my computer that will not let me look at anti-virus websites, download anything and it slows down my computer. I also have a problem with a file called Cabine.dll?? I searched it on google and it said sometimes virus's disguise themselves as it? I am guessing this is the same virus. I also cannot use McCafee, for some reason. And cannot uninstall Ad-aware 6 by Lavasoft. So I am gueassing that might be connected. Can some one please help, the only other option is formatting my computer!!!!
It will probably involve several trips to your local Kinko's, Internet Cafe, pr public library, or another site where you can D/L to a USB drive. I would start by getting a copy of AVG Free and Malware Anti-bytes on a USB stick and installing/running them on your PC just to get an overview of what you are facing. Formatting the PC is not a good thing to do unless you don't plan on using ANY files from your old installation. If one of your data files (or e-mails) was the source of the virus, you will quickly find yourself back where you started.
