I have a few questions about my computer. I have an intel p4 478pin 2.90 cpu is 32c hot for my cpu. After like an hour it either freezes or restarts. Im not sure if its overheating or what. I need some ideas on what could be wrong when I turn on my computer the fan does run but can bearly hear it, I don't know if the fan is supposed to be pretty quite or not. Any help would be good!

    Doesn't sound like.
    My p4 2.81 ambient temperature is 31C.
When encoding video, 75% CPU usage, mid forties with occasional peaks over 50C.

What's the CPU temp doing when the it's running near 100%.
If it's a tower you can take off the covers and see if that has an effect.

See if the event viewer lists anything unusual.

    Start>Run>Eventvwr.msc

Look in 'Application' and 'System' to see if the times for events coincide with shutdown.
