I think the posting comment buttons need to be addressed. If you hit the button twice, it will post two comments. Is there not a peice of code available that would enable you to only post the comment once, no matter how many times you hit the button?

    Thanks
    Chris

Doable, I will take a look at it. I might even implement a feature that wont allow you to post two posts (however different they would be) within 90 seconds -- this might calm down the morons who come in, post as many spams as possible and leave with no traces after 5mins.

Yeah, the 90 seconds is a good one. Make sure it isnt longer than tht though because i post quite often and have used a forum before that would only allow one post per 3mins. that was a real pain. now im here :)

Post when you've got it done. Thanks Boss

90 seconds?? nah no way man c'mon, think for a sec, i can answer about 3 threads in 90 seconds and not spamming. that would just make it so boring waiting for 90 seconds to be up.

Just do something where when u click reply once, you cant click it again, that would work!

But all of that aside the one click button sounds good to me. I posted today got a error message from the server, so I back Clicked hit the reply again. an like holy shit there was 2 post.. LOL

I think the best fix for this is to just not double click the damn button haha!! true though! some users i have seen have literally double posts every second time they post, why? because they double click the damn button!

As for server error, isnt much can be done about that!!

I agree with fixing the button so it cant be clicked twice. Or if it is clicked twice, it only registers as one click. I would rather not see the 90 second code implemented, but I suppose Dela (our mod) can make that point to dRD :)

well i did already oriphus, i dont wanna tell the guy either how to run his site, that would be plain ignorant of me, i'm just making a suggestion because I know i'm impatient, if i have to wait 90 seconds i will find other ways to amuse myself while waiting (stop thinking that you sick f*... just kiddin!! ;-)) for it to load and eventually just end up doing something else instead, like chattin!_X_X_X_X_X_[small]http://www.BillLonero.com - Check out a true artists music!

Oriphus does bring a valid point with regards to double-posts however, I must agree with Dela...when I start posting/replying... I can easily do 3 posts in 90 seconds... more if my DSL wasnt so stupid. Perhaps fixing it in a way to prevent the button from being double clicked is a better solution

Ok.. Maybe this: 20second limit for Members and above, 90sec limit for Jr Members and Newbies?

Yeah, that would be a very good compromise dRD. I doubt that the 90 second delay would put many of the Newbies's/Juniors off using the forum.

It looks to me like the style of writing used on afterdawn ahs changed somewhat. Everything seems slightly smaller and compressed. Maybe im going nuts
