Post- Softmod DVD Problems

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the whole softmod scene. My whole reason for doing the mod was so I could play DVDs on my xbox without Bill Gates' stupid remote crap. The problem is that when I put a DVD in, the xbox doesn't play the movie. Do I need to install a special program on the xbox to play the movie (like windvd on my PC) or maybe a configuration error? Any help would be sweet.

Ok I looked and I already have a program called "XB MEDIA PLAYER". Is that the same thing as XBOX Media Center? Also, I couldn't find the dvdx2 program.

 

dvdx2 hopefully means DVD2XBOX, you get this and you can save the movies to your HDD
