    Hello Everyone,

I softmodded my Xbox a few years back and never did anything beyond the actual softmod. Now I want to accomplish the following, and want to make sure I have the correct information before proceeding. Some of the tutorials are long in the tooth, and I am unsure if I have the correct procedure, so I thought it was best to ask first.

    Goals:
Clone factory HD to a new larger 400GB HD
Install DVD2XBOX to copy my games to the HD
Install XBMC to stream media to the Xbox

Currently the system has the factory hd in this config:
    free c: 132.038.656
    free e: 4.759.994.368
    free f: 0
    free g: 0
    free x: 786.300.928
    free y: 642.760.704
    free z: 786.300.928

I backed up my xbox folder to my pc.

So my next steps should be to place chimp in the apps folder on e:\

Run chimp and clone the HD to the 400GB

    Install dvd2xbox in e:\apps

Backup games using dvd2xbox to e:\games

Install XBMC using XBMC Installer Deluxe

    Questions:
Does this sound like the correct proceedure?
What if anything do I need to do with the f: & g: drives?
Is there anything I am missing?

    Thanks for any feedback.

using chimp wouldn´t be my way to go, but DO make a backup of your eeprom.bin. either run the softmod again, there is an option to backup the eeprom. or use configmagic to backup the eeprom and copy that to your computer. after you have done that, the choice is yours. but, i would suggest to go with the xboxhdm disc.

    go with this link then!

Thanks for the advice. One more question though, should I run the same softmod program I did before or can I use Auto Installer Deluxe instead?

you can use whatever you like, as long as it only backups your eeprom. i know it is in the sid installer, but i will also be somewhere in the aid disc
