Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I have been using Fujifilm DVD-R for about 7 movies now and I use to use Dynex DVD-RW, but for some reason last night I kept getting a Power Calibration Error as soon as it got ready to burn. I ended up using my other burner to rip the movies and all went well until I stuck the movie in my DVD player and it keeps reading incorrect disc? Is Fujifilm a crappy brand? Because they worked for the first few that I burned.

BTW, I am running Nero 6.6 and the burner (Internal) came with my computer Sony Vaio Desktop. I have been burning DVD's for about 2 months now and this is the first problem I've ever had.

Power Calibration error can mean 1 of three things.

    1. You are using crappy media. Fuji's are good, but only if made in Japan.

    2. You have a bad wire or your burner is not getting sufficient power.

    3. Worst case scenario, your burner is dying. Buy a replacement.

As of late, newer movies have been throwing out strange error messages, what movie are you trying to backup? It may just be some tricky copy protection doing it's job.

Here is what Nero says about that:
Check to see if your firmware is current also. Out of date firmware causes this error also.

Thanks for the help, I will try some of these to see if I can fix it. I was trying to burn Half Light, The Punisher, and The Man.
