Power Point to video?

Hello all. I am new to this forum. I am trying to get a Power Point presentation W/ pictures and music to transfer onto a DVD on my computer. So far i have had no luck in doing so. Is there a way to convert the pp presentation to a video file first so that i can then burn it to a DVD? Or can i go direct from pp to dvd?
