Well, this is a pretty stupid question and I'm sure I'll get a quick answer... How do you know if a 4-pin connector is 3.3v, 5v, or 12v? I have an Enermax Whisper II 535w SLIready PSU. Three bunches of cables come out of it... 1 for main power, 1 for PCIe and other non 4-pin connectors, and 1 with floppy and a lot of 4-pin molex. But they're all bunched together and not separated! Help me and my retarded question please
They are all the same. Does not matter which one you use. But by asking this question I can tell you are new to doing this. Word of warning: Make sure that floppy power plug is on correctly. If you miss a pin then you can blow your power supply. Most are keyed now days but is still possible to miss a pin. -Del
Yeah, I'm pretty new to this, I've done a lot of research though and have figured everything out except for the small stupid details like this. My floppy connector is keyed, thanks, I would have died if I blew a $100 PSU. Anyway, yeah that alleviated some confusion!
