power supply mmds issue

    Hi guys hows everyone?.guys a bought an mmds power supply from a site last week,recieved it today,wired it up an plugged everythin in,turned on the box-t,scanned and found no channels.got a loan of my mates ch***s power supply and everythin fine.checked the signal wit the power supply i jus got and its only at 33% an flashes back to 0.The p/supply is a proception proPSU112X...anyone help me fix this as its driving me crazy the last month lookin at the box sitting der!!Many Thanks...

    Maybe your new psu is too weak.

    Are you sure the PSU is connected in-line the right way around ?

    I believe they only go one way round, with the "In/Out" feed going to your STB and the "Amp" feed going to your Downconverter (You should consult the PSU manufacturers literature to be sure)

    Yes iv connected it properly alright.like you said wit the in/out to box and other to aerial feed.iv noticed in the book it says it should be used only wer indicated in the amplifier installation instructions as being suitable.its an unregulated product,not suitable for powering masthead preamplifiers an similar which require a 12v regulated supply.is this where my problem kicks in?

    does this have to be used wit an amp?thanks alot guys!!

    If your psu is not able to deliver 12v in full loaded mode it doesn't help much for powering a ch*rus mmds aerial.
    Btw some downconverters sold on the free market need more than 12v.

    Thanks guys.i was directed to an 18v 1 that should do the job.just a killer i bought this one an have to wait for a new1..Thanks again all..
