Hey folks. I'm using PowerProducer 3 to create my DVD home movies, but when I play back the finished Movie complete with menu, its VERY jerky!
Im using a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a 1.6ghz CPU and 1.25GB RAM. Is there another DVD authoring package which is better? Or is just my PC?
Ive made sure it converts the files to PAL.

    Cheers
    Ian

    Hi and welcome to Afterdawn.
    Have you tried Nero ???
Also looking at your system specs, when burning a DVD it uses alot of CPU power the jerking sounds like you had too many processes running at the time the disc was burning.
Also some program don't work well with Anti-virus program either.
Plus make sure while the burn goes on that things like your screensaver doesn't come on.
I learned all this the hard way and many coasters to show for it.
One last thing what kind of discs are you using???
    Media makes all the difference.
I just love Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim, Sony works good too.
Plus check the guides here they help a whole bunch.
I hope this helped you out.

Thanks for the help. I didnt know Nero did DVD authoring. I'll keep my eye out for it.
I am running McAfee antivirus software, but nothing else is running at the same time.
Ive tried DVD-R's by Mitsubishi and DVD+R's by Benq with no difference.
