PPF patching

how do i put the patch i created on the map i modded so i can transfer it to my xbox? ( i have flashfxp)

 

if you already modded the map, why would you apply a ppf patch to it?

 

i dunno the flash fxp wont let me transfer the modded maps to my xbox

 

ok so do you have the PPF patch on the map
and then when you try to transfer it make sure you deleted the "old" one

 

You need to be a bit more precise and what you are trying to do and what you have done.

First, since the map is modded, I suggest you follow an FTP tut to make sure you are doing it properly. There are a few around this site that you can find...I believe some people have them listed in their sigs.

When you connect, navigate to your Maps. Then just transfer the proper maps over and overwrite the old ones.

Make sure you have backups too.

 

ok i have my files bcked up i have an ftp connection and everything. i went into dothalo and modded a map but i can't transfer it to my xbox. is it cuz i put a ppf patch on after i modded the map? also i like these weapon mods and stuff, so how d i save it?

 

I wouldn't suggest modding a map and then applying a ppf patch. Sometimes things can get screwed up. I'd redo that now. Transfer overa fresh copy of your map, apply the patch, and then mod it the way you want to.

When you are done, fix the encryption and then resign it with your favorite map resigner. If you can find cmr v2, I would use that...faster and more stable.

 

ok i put the patches on and everything then i modded the 2 maps and i transferred them on2 my xbox but it keeps saying you failed to load the map, what did i do wrong?

 

ok nvmd i got a few onto my xbox but now when i try to transfer some more, it keeps saying transfer faled even though i have the ppf patches and i got them resigned, do i have to fix the encryption before i resign them?

ok its screwing up again. when i started this thread i was messing with my xbox but now im using my friends that i modded and it still screwing up. (failing to transfer)i have the 2 connected and everything so i can transfer stuff over, but i cant transfer the mpas even after i patched, fixed the encryption, and resigned them. what do i do? (the map i used to test was waterworks and it didnt have a signature value so i copied the 1 already there but it didnt make a difference cuz it screwed up just like the other maps that already had values)

 

i told you follow the last step....but dont blow it all over the xbox then your screwed

Once you go there, scroll down til you see like game backups, ftp, and misc tutorials...or something to that extent. In that forum should be my tutorial as well as other members tutorials on how to properly FTP. Hopefully you can figure out what you are doing wrong by looking at them...?

thanks i got it, my computer and xbox were already FTPd correctly, i found that it transfers when i go o the file the map is in and then transfer it and it gives me the option to overwrite the map.
