Now that I have your attention, I would like to ask what you all think is essentially wrong with vista? (Aside from what is mentioned in Vista bitch thread) Sure it is chunky, sure maybe it is an exact copy of MAC:OS X, but I love it. I installed it last night, and to my utter stupor, it wasn't and isn't as bad as the internet community constantly proclaims. I have my ten year old Audio Drivers install fine, all my Games install fine, winrar installs fine, Utorrent, PowerISO, MagicISO, Alcohol 120%, Macafee. All fine.

Some of the software apps work fine now.

However, during MS's Beta testing a whole ton of software wouldn't work. There were no drivers for many app.

Vista is still bloated, too many pop ups(controlled by "Bit Defender"), calls home to Billy to see if you are allowed to run some software apps, and if not, will remove it from your system.

i have vista on 1 pc for now (out of 5). so far so good. however i have had alot of compatability issues.most i have worked around so far. the one thing i have found is the large amount of spyware that seems to collect on it. it will be awhile before i put it on anymore pcs, because of the price of graphics cards. i mean lets face it, aero glass is the only reason anybody wants it to start out with.

Saw that before, (Shredder movie) that was awesome.
Okay, I kind of changed my mind. I love Vista, the layout, functionality etc. But the pop up's are crazy, to rename a folder I encountered 3 pop-ups. That's not too much of a problem, but I'm chugging along on an AMD XP 2000+ Overclocking at 145 (2200+). On idle, vista is using 35% of my processor... what the hell is that? I'm going to shove a real long horn up Bill's ass. For teasing me with such a great OS then kicking me in the pants.

With as much tweaking as I can do, I still get a 3% performance drop in Vista compared to XP, but I'll take it

    Lethal B,

If all you wanted was the Aero Glass skins, you should try the transformation pack (VTP6). Save money and frustration.
