I'm trying to create a DVD movie from a .AVI file. I used TMPGEnc to encode the file which split the audio and video: the audio became a .mp2 and the video was converted into its .VOBs and .BUPs. I then used IfoEdit to author the DVD and recieved the .IFOs. Then I followed the directions of this tutorial (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burning_dvd_with_nero.cfm), burned the compilation once and got no audio on the disc. Next, I figured since I hadn't put the .mp2 into AUDIO_TS under the disc directory, I would try that. Still no luck. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Are you sure that you got VOB, etc from TMPGenc? I would expect to see .m2v and .mp2 files, both would be loaded in IFOEdit to create the final VOB, IFO, etc. Try DVD Flick to convert the AVI. Remember to set DVD Flick for NTSC or PAL depending on where you live in the world. Load the AVI and output the files to a folder. Use Nero Express to burn the output files to disk. http://www.dvdflick.net/download.php
